Cherry-Strip Canoe — Fine Woodworking

This cherry-strip canoe arrived as an unfinished hull after its original builder passed away. I reworked the hull and completed everything that followed—from the gunwales, decks and thwarts to the hand-caned seats and final finish. His wife hoped their granddaughter could use it for her wedding, making the completed canoe a tribute to the grandfather who began the project and shared the work with her.
